Tyler is a purple belt under Jake Nickoson with over 15 years of grappling experience between wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Tyler has over 5 years of experience leading youth wrestling programs as well as assisting with the Kid’s jiu-jitsu program here at Artisan Submission Grappling. He has a passion for developing the next generation and watching today’s children turn into tomorrow’s leaders both on and off the mats.
He also leads our Adult fundamentals program and assists Professor Jake Nickoson with our Adult Gi classes. His passion for coaching and developing others can be felt with every class he teaches. While having an extensive competitive background himself, he finds more joy and pride is seeing those around him succeed and accomplish their goals more than he does for himself. Anyone who has had Tyler in their corner can attest to the passion and care factor he brings to every match and every session.
